FROM EVERYTHING THERE'S A SONG - 50 YEARS OF CLUBE DA ESQUINA
50 ANOS DO CLUBE DA ESQUINA
The idea for this book came four days before this news was announced, in a conversation between Márcio Borges – Lô’s brother, lyricist of songs such as “Clube da Esquina” and “Clube da Esquina No 2” – and Chris Fuscaldo – writer and editor at Garota FM Books. Together, the two gathered in “De Tudo Se Faz Canção – 50 Years of Clube da Esquina” (‘From Everything there’s a song’): Testimonials from all the musicians who were part of the production of the Clube da Esquina LP.
● A biography of the music, album, and movement that put Minas Gerais on the Brazilian music map.
● Track by track written by music researchers such as Ana Maria Bahiana to Charles Gavin.
● Current statements by Lô Borges, Márcio Borges, and Milton Nascimento.
● Afterword with testimonials from people who took part in Clube da Esquina’s Golden Jubilee.
