Cascader is Ben Chargot, Parker Langvardt, Jeff Schaffer
Recorded by Dylan Piskula at JAMDEK

Bio by Ian Cory:
Cascader are a testament to the power of chemistry. The Chicago based instrumental rock trio, comprised of Jeff Schaffer (guitar), Parker Langvardt (bass), and Ben Chargot (drums), have been playing music together for over a decade, and that musical familiarity is immediately apparent on their debut album Me Us You. Over twelve thrilling tracks of psychedelic math rock, Cascader display a level of dexterity and raw creativity that could only come from years of shared experience.

Me Us You represents the culmination of a musical journey that has lasted years and crossed state lines. After honing their skills in their hometown of Midland, Michigan, the trio moved to Chicago, Illinois, a veritable mecca of math rock and instrumental music where they could take their playing to the next level. The group quickly developed a mind-bending live show featuring analog video projections.

Me Us You combines an exploratory spirit with meticulous arranging. Having spent years working out every twist and turn in their songs, Cascader transition from crushing doom metal to jazz inflected grooves with ease, always staying a step ahead of their listeners. Throughout it all, the trio maintain a playful attitude and tasteful ear for both melody and rhythm. Me Us You may be their debut, but make no mistake, it is the work of seasoned musicians. Cascader are the band to watch for fans of smart and exciting instrumental rock.
