For the casual listener this singles collection is a fantastic starter pack, but even the completist will wanna pick it up for it's inclusion of FM, which wasn't available on any of their commercial releases. Master musicians and producers alike, Becker and Fagen laid a rich catalog of work and I would go as far as to say that owning at least one of their albums is essential to anyones collection. The duos dark sense of humor is on full display with classic tracks such as Deacon Blues and Hey Nineteen. That being said, if you're older than 30 and some zesty 19 year old tells you they don't know who Aretha Franklin is, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, fuck them, no matter how much cocacine you've done.
