the long-lasting recordings from the legendary Zaire74 concerts that preceded the Rumble in the Jungle are released at last. This in one of the finest and most remarkable live albums in the history of African music. Zaire 74 was the three day music festival that proceeded the Heavyweight Championship fight between Mohammad Ali and George Foreman in 1974 in Kinshasa, Zaire. The festival brought together many of America's greatest musicians performing on the same stage with the greatest African musicians from that time. Many of the performances were included in the 1996 film, When We Were Kings. This release features never before heard recordings from this historic event.
