It's the Same OLD STYLE - Turns Chicago on its Head & Shakes out its Pockets. What fell out were Dusted Beats & a Kaliedescope of Vintage Chicago Sounds & Ephemera!

The mixtape ranges from comical to serious & explores the past, current, (and recurring) themes of everything Chicago from Loyalty & Sports; to Gentrification. The 23 minute beat tape
is packed tighter than a Swaporama Moving Van & features Dennis Farina (R.I.P.), Vintage Old Style Commericials, 70's Chicago Teenage Gang Interviews, Robert Dinero as Al Capone from the Classic Untouchables Movie, SNL's Bill Swerski's Superfans, and a track titled 16 Shots; (a reference to the documentary of the same name) dedicated to the murder & cover up of Laquan McDonald by Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke and fellow officers Thomas Gaffney, Joseph Walsh and Detective David March.

The Beat Tape is both a celebration, and a critique of Chicago and asks the tough question of What?, if anything, has really changed? and, ... for better, ... or for worse?
